Hedgebook Charts for Discord
Gamma exposure charts for SPX, SPY, QQQ and IWM, posted in your server and kept current every five minutes through the session. Free to add.
/hedgebook here in a channel.
What it posts
One chart per ticker: net gamma exposure by strike for the nearest expiry, with spot, the gamma flip, the call and put walls, and the implied volatility smile. It is the same chart Hedgebook subscribers see, drawn as a picture. The header carries the numbers, so the post reads at a glance without opening it.
How often, and when it alerts
Each chart is updated every five minutes from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern on trading days, by editing the same post. An edit does not mark the channel unread or notify anyone, so a channel holds one current chart per ticker rather than a pile of old ones.
A new post, which does mark the channel unread, comes only at three moments, each with a heading saying which:
- Market open, the first chart of the day.
- Market close, the 4:00 PM chart, which stays up overnight.
- Regime change, when a ticker flips between long and short gamma. At most one every half hour per ticker, so a book sitting near zero cannot flood the channel.
That is usually two to four new posts a day per ticker.
Setting it up
- Add it to your server with the button above. You need Manage Server there.
-
Pick a channel
and run
/hedgebook herefor all four charts: SPX, SPY, QQQ and IWM. For just one, add the ticker option, as in/hedgebook here ticker:QQQ; run it again with another ticker to add more. The charts post at once, and the bot tells you privately that it worked, or what it is missing. -
Stop
with
/hedgebook stop, which removes the charts and deletes the bot's posts from that channel.
Only members who can manage channels see /hedgebook. In a private channel, give Hedgebook Charts these four permissions under
Edit Channel → Permissions: View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links and Attach
Files. It asks for nothing else, and cannot read your messages.
Want more than a picture?
The bot shows the picture every five minutes. Hedgebook itself updates every minute, replays the whole session, and adds the greeks, several expiries at once and side-by-side comparison. See what's in it.
Not investment advice. The charts are a model of dealer positioning built on delayed quotes and overnight open interest. What the bot keeps about a server is in the privacy policy.
